Buying transmission parts is a specification problem: the same gearbox family can use different shafts, synchros and friction parts by build. These guides cover what each component does, how to source parts at volume, and where upgrades genuinely improve durability or performance rather than just changing shift feel.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which transmission parts fit my vehicle?

Use the transmission code, not just the model and year. The same vehicle can be built with different gearbox variants, and shafts, synchros and clutch parts change with them.

Are performance transmission parts worth it for a daily driver?

Usually only where they address a known weakness — cooling, lubrication or a specific failure mode. Upgraded friction parts often trade comfort for capacity, which is a poor trade in normal use.
